The ancient ancestors of the Irish made their marks on the land with great stone and earthen structures. Their descendants developed stories to explain them.
ARCHAEOLOGY
The sites are organized here into Portal Tombs, Passage Tombs, Court and Wedge Tombs, Standing Stones, Stone Circles, Earthworks, Stone Forts, and Early Christian.
